How to Use Shapes

This video shows how to use and edit shapes in Microsoft Word.

To add a shape, go to the Insert tab, and click Shapes. Click the shape you intend to use, and draw it in your document.


There are several ways to change the look of the shape.


To add text to the shape, select it and begin typing or paste your text.

Now, decide how you want the shape arranged on the page. You can choose "inline with text", "in front of text", "square", or more.
